ABOUT FEW MILES SOUTH
Few Miles South is a female-fronted country and roots group created by South Georgia raised, Blake English, and Los Angeles native, Tori Lund. Dubbed “the country Pretenders” by WSM’s Devon O’Day, Tori’s ethereal vocals are the yin to Blake’s chicken pickin’ yang.
Their first single “On Down the Road” was awarded HOTDISC Country’s Best International Music Video in 2017 and since they’ve been performing across N. America. Their debut 2018 EP, Might Could, features renowned pedal steel guitarist Bob Boo Bernstein (Tanya Tucker, Dwight Yoakum, Emmylou Harris) as does the follow up 2019 LP, Californ I Aint. Notable performances include a coveted slot at Stagecoach on Nikki Lane’s curated stage and opening for artists such as Junior Brown and The Kentucky Headhunters. Their newest country/bluegrass EP, Wiregrass, was released in March 2020 and features collaboration with 2020 Grammy winning fiddler Michael Cleveland. FMS does all their writing, producing and recording from Blake’s own Southern Fried Studio, deep in the Georgia pines.
